ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said people have elected the present government for five years but questions have been raised about one and half year of our tenure. If we failed to fulfill the promises in five years, we will not contest the next elections.
Addressing a function of distribution of plot allotment letters in sector D-12 here, Gilani said government is taking tough decisions to bring the economy back at right track. It is right of public to evaluate government’s performance and if could not fulfill the promises during the five year tenure, people will not reelect us.
Prime minister has directed the CDA officials to get back the lands from land grabbers and complete the projects in time.
While highlighting the government’s performance, Gilani said sugar price was fixed at Rs.45 but it was not available in the market event at the rate of Rs.70 after inference.
Replying to a question about judicial investigations of Karachi tragedy, prime minister said he does not want to interfere in provincial matters. A proper planning is needed to end load shedding and new power stations will be inaugurated after specific interval of time during current year.
