Bhoja Air’s not a ‘judicial’ commission: PML-N

Opposition Leader in National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar commenting on the formation of a commission to probe Bhoja aircraft crash, mentioned the body wasn’t a ‘judicial’ commission adding only chief justices could form a judicial commission.

Addressing a media conference here, Chaudhry Nisar asked details about the Bhoja Air plane accident to be made public.

“The govt neither accepts the assembly nor the Supreme Court,” he said.

Contempt case: Prime Minister to be in court tomorrow

PM Gilani will be appearing before the Top Court on April 26th and likely to be indicted in the contempt of court case. During the cabinet gathering today in Islamabad, PM indicated his respect for the judiciary says that he will be appearing before the court tomorrow.

Earlier, on Tuesday Justice Nasir ul Mulk informed Aitzaz Ahsan that they would declare judgment in the presence of his client (the Prime Minister).

PM Gilani said he’s always honoured the decisions of the court and totally respects its decisions. He said the Supreme Court has called him for the 3rd time and if any other cabinet colleague desires to accompany him, he was welcome.

JUI-F MPA jailed for fake degree

Kishore Kumar, a JUI-F member of the KP assembly, was found guilty on Monday of contesting the 2008 elections after submitting a fake graduation degree and sentenced to one-year rigorous prison time.

District and Sessions Judge Mr Shahjehan Khan also imposed a penalty of Rs15,000 on Mr Kumar and suspended his assembly membership.

Soon after the statement of the judgment, Mr Kumar, who was elected on a seat reserved for minorities, was caught and taken to the district jail.

The court said that proof on record proved that the degree filed by the accused for contesting the election was fake.

Imran Khan demands immediate resignation of PM Gilani

PTI leader Imran Khan demanded an immediate resignation of Pm Gilani after begin found guilty in contempt of court case on today.

During a media conference in Islamabad, Imran advised the govt to elect a new Prime Minister as Gilani is no more qualified to the post.

No one respects such nations where Pm himself involves in record corruption cases. This govt ruins picture of Pakistan. PPP is making fun of Supreme judiciary. PM is found guilty because of accumulation 5 billion of Asif Ali Zardari.

Khan added that, Country have seen today where these political groups stand. All the coalition partners are insincere, saving their looted money therefore supporting this govt.

Baloch Leader Shazain Bugti surrenders to police

Jamhoori Watan Party chief Shahzain Bugti surrendered himself to the official here on today.

Federal Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik and Interior Minister Balochistan Mir Zafarullah Khan Zuhri were also present there.

Before surrendering himself he talked to press for couple of minutes. He stated that, he was arrested in fake case and will be released shortly.

Bugti surrendered along with his 26 security guards with whom he had been implicated in an illegal arms possession case in December 2010.

Earlier on Friday, A non-bail able warrant was released in the name of Shahzain Bugti and 26 of his security guards.
