Telenor Pakistan is offering professional advice service via 1911. These services include Tele Doctor, Tele Lawyer, Career Counseling and Tele Genie.
Tele Doctor (teledoctor)
Talk to professional doctors who will give you advice about health related issues. Intrestingly if you read the full terms and conditions of telenor this service is only for money making as telenor does not take responsibility of any advice given. So in a way they are playing with people health collecting their personal information about health and diesease but at the same time taking no responsibility of their own services.
Telenor is a mobile company and does not have any speciality in the medical field same is proved in their contradictory statements printed
on their advertisements and website.
The first statement is
“Telenor TeleDoctor will revolutionize the medical industry by eliminating any doctor patient barriers that might exist due to language, lack of education, lack of mobility, etc. This is possible because now your own personal doctor is just a phone call away, any
time of the day! Apart from being available 24/7,”
But after given this temptation to the general public to use their service for medical advice Telenor does not accept any responsibility
for any damage caused to the health of general public of Pakistan. It is stated as by Telenor
“In all cases Telenor is not accountable for the malpractices, genuineness or authenticity of the advice/information given through this service or for the credentials of the medical experts giving the information/advice and Telenor shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused to any subscriber or any other party as a result thereof.”
Telenor is not a medical company nor have any repute in medical field. They should not be allowed to play with the life of general public.
Telenor is only concerned with their money (”Simply dial 1911 and get connected to your Telenor TeleDoctor today! Call charges are Rs. 10 + tax/3 minute” ), and have nothing to do with the health of Pakistani Citizens.
Intrestingly this service is endorsed by the ministry of health sindh as mentioned on telenor website (may be minister taking their share of the earnings)
