Corruption scams generate acute row amongst Indian army top brass

New Delhi—An outrageous feud has erupted amongst the top brass of India Army as two top Generals, the chief, General Deepak Kapoor, and his putative successor and the Eastern Command boss, Lt General V.K. Singh have locked horns over the issue of corruption scams in the army , reveal the findings of The Daily Mail.

According to the findings of The Daily Mail, the difference between the Indian army Chief General Kapoor and the Chief of Army’s Eastern Command, Lt. General V.K Singh, who is the senior-most Lieutenant General, were emerging for the past few months after the inquiries into a military land scam began. These finding indicate that this tension between the 2 top general of Indian army reached to the extreme when a Court of Inquiry, convened by the Eastern Army Commander who is based in Fort William in Calcutta, started the proceedings and recommended for the sacking of Army Chief, General Kapoor’s Principal Staff Officer (PSO) and Military Secretary, Lt Gen. Avadhesh Prakash. According to the sources in the in the Indian army, the Army Chief General Kapoor has made an abortive attempt to defend his top confidant. Our sources in the Ministry of Defence informed that General Kapoor has officially informed the Defence Minister A.K. Antony that Lt Gen. V.K Singh was taking an over enthusiastic and “undue interest” in the land scam case of North Bengal

The Daily Mail’s investigations further indicate that the Court of Inquiry, presided over by Commander 4 Corps, based at Tezpur-based, Lt Gen. K.T. Parnaik, had forwarded its findings to Lt Gen. Singh. Based on the findings and on consultations with the Judge Advocate General (JAG) in his command, the eastern army commander recommended the “termination of services” of Lt Gen. Prakash because of his alleged involvement in a land scam case. The army sources say that this situation has paralyzed the entire military establishment as the scuffle between the 2 bigwigs of the Indian Army is rising day by day with Army Chief trying to show his muscles to Commander Eastern Command and resisting JAG branch’s recommendations while Commander Eastern Command sticking to the set rules and procedures.

The Daily Mail’s investigations further reveal that the Indian Defence Minister, who trying hard to stay away from this controversy over the corruption scam of the Generals of the Indian army, held a confidential meeting with his Army Chief General Kapoor on the eve of Christmas and asked General Kapoor to be easy over the matter of his PSO Lt Gen. Prakash. The sources say that upon this Gen. Kapoor demurred and defended his confidant but failed to convince the Defence Minister.

These investigations further indicate the while the report of the Court of Inquiry was being “studied and analysed”, another probe from the central command brought out “the involvement without blaming” of the military secretary in awarding a Rs 1.7-crore contract to a north Bengal-based realtor, Dilip Aggarwal.

Brigadier (Rtd) M.K Singh, a former Indian army officer and is one way or the other, associated to the state of affairs, upon contacting by The Daily Mail said that it was all indicative of a serious communication gap between Army Headquarters and the Eastern Command, a fully operational authority whose area of responsibility covers the maximum length of international borders. According to Brigadier Singh, after the report of the Court of Inquiry (CoI) was hand-delivered from Calcutta at 9.30 on the morning of December 23, Wednesday, Army Chief Kapoor was summoned for an unscheduled meeting by the Defence Minister in his office and he discussed the matter with General Kapoor for about two hours but general Kapoor remained stick to defend ‘his’ men and the meeting ended with no positive outcome.

Brigadier Singh says that there was cold war going on between general Kaporr and the Fort William boss Lt. General V.K Singh for the past few months over some personal issues. He says that since Gen. Singh had convened a Court of Inquiry that indicted Lt Gen. Prakash in the land case. Gen. Kapoor felt that the Eastern Commander did not have the authority to summon the army chief’s principal staff officer and he did so with ill-intentions. He further said that Lt Gen. V.K. Singh, whose age was caught in a discrepancy, was bypassed earlier for the post of Vice-Chief of the Army staff and somehow blamed General Kapoor for it and that is perhaps from where the row between the two began.

The Daily Mail’s findings reveal that a meeting between Defence Minister and Army Chief General Kapoor was held in the afternoon of December 24 after the minister had returned from Hyderabad. This meeting lasted for 40 minutes. During the meeting the Defence Minister and the army Chief discussed the Eastern Command’s recommendation to “terminate the services” of Prakash over the alleged Rs 300-crore land scam in north Bengal. Sources in the defence Ministry say that Minister Antony sought a summary of the investigation and the recommendations and directed that the military secretary be prevailed upon to put in his papers to avoid further embarrassment to his ministry and the army.

The Daily Mail findings suggest that Gen. Kapoor protested and defended his PSO’s position and pleaded to the Defence Minister that the Eastern Command under Lt Gen. Singh, who was the convening authority of the court of inquiry that has indicted the military secretary, has taken an “undue interest” in investigating Lt Gen. Prakash.

The military secretary was called as a witness to the court and the eastern commander does not have authority to investigate him or recommend action against one of the eight principal staff officers.

The Daily Mail’s findings further indicate that the army Chief suggested that the recommendation to “terminate the services” in other words, cashier or sack the military secretary should be toned down to “administrative action” that could involve cutting his benefits but will not drape an officer with such a long career in ignominy but the minister did not agree to it and instead conveyed that Lt Gen. Prakash should be persuaded to put in his papers if he does not do so voluntarily.

These findings indicate that the next day, December 25, Gen. Kapoor visited the defence minister at his residence, ostensibly to wish him on Christmas. Staff at the defence minister’s residence expected the meeting to last about 30 minutes or so. But it ended after 10 minutes in a very cold manner.

The Daily Mail’s investigations reveal that during the time of the first unscheduled meeting, the Defence Minister was not properly briefed about the second investigation in Lucknow by a Major General.

That investigation indicted seven officers, including a Major General, in the Ranikhet Kumaon Regimental Centre land scam while Military Secretary Lt Gen. Prakash is the Colonel Commandant of the Kumaon Regiment. It was a double whammy for the Army Chief General Kapoor and his Principal aide.

The defence analysts here at New Delhi believe that this state of affairs where the Chief of Army Staff is patronizing the officers that have been proved guilty of corruption, the Indian Army is bound suffer badly.

They suggest that general Kapoor should either be removed or be asked for a volunteer retirement from the service to save the image and reputation of the institution that is already suffering from big blows of corruption

Aman ke Asha – A Cornerstone of the new Indian Cold Start Strategy?

Ahmed Shahid

Just one day after the Indian army chief, Deepak Kapoor, gave out a statement promoting going to war with Pakistan and China at the same time (with him painting a picture of New Delhi annihilating Pakistan within few hours of war), the Indian media in collaboration with Pakistani media hit off the new year, with a campaign tagged “Aman ke Asha”. The last time we engaged Indians on such an Asha was in ending up having Indian Jets in our skies for possible strikes and war – and all without evidence. We remember the “Das Kadam Pakistan Khatam” styled pathetic videos shown on the same Indian media singing Aman Kay Geet now. So, we wonder what the “Asha” is all about this time. The plan apparently as always, is to move towards another round of Confidence Building Measures – CBMs, with Pakistan. The question however is, is it really worth it? We shall leave the answer to the reader after reading on.

Let’s see how India aka Bharat is really doing to fulfill this time its Aman Ki Asha. As far as the world is concerned, an intention for peace must be supported by some steps. Even when Obama chose to promote peace, mostly with Russia, he took some decisions in refraining from installing missile shields in the world and announced cutting down of US nuclear arsenal. This is not exactly the standard, yet however, can churn some example for Bharat. With its colossal plans of spending a hundred billion dollars on acquiring state of the art weaponry from all over the world in the next two to five years, we really doubt the Indian plans for peace. What’s interesting to us is not really what the Indian masses think about peace, it’s what the Indian leaders are saying on record and what the Indian media is propagating to constantly keep the hype of war alive with Pakistan. We have not forgotten what Indian analysts such as Bharat Verma write about Pakistan and the solutions he gives for peace. Nor have we forgotten what Indian leaders said after the fall of Dhaka: We have taken revenge of a thousand years with Pakistan. Have we forgotten what Narsima Rao said about breaking and destroying Pakistan, only promoting it as its enemy? Or have we forgotten what happened with Babri Masjid and the tribunal verdict on that? Looking at the events now, the world doesn’t seem any different place. We still have the Indian army chief giving out occasional statements promoting war with Pakistan, threatening it and destroying it. Is this how Aman ke Asha will see its logical end? We don’t know what Bharat really means this time, but what we do know is that you cannot convince the world with singing songs of peace and happiness at one side, and taking up arms and threats on the other hand. If anything, it reminds us of the infamous Chankya and his teachings.

We are not sure under what delusional these people are. But what happens on the ground tells a very different tale. Pakistan is fighting a war at fronts it doesn’t even know. We have American mercenary blackwaters going in Pakistan unchecked with weapons. We have American B-52s flying on FATA under the big hand of friendship. We have India doing exercises with Israel and we know where this all is headed eventually. Bharat has never accepted the state of Pakistan deep down and we know it more every time Indian leaders say it out loud. We know what Bharat is up to with Americans, Israelis and the team. The message is clear and loud: The media may be writing so and there may be some conceding but the masses of Pakistan and its youth is aware and well aware of protecting Pakistan, the stronghold of Islam, the bastion of Islam. We will not bow down to aggression or be taken for a fool or deceived. Very closely, we watch you and your designs and we shall know when you are sincere and when you are not, and you are not. Where you do gather few under the name of peace, we watch at guard of our nation and our country.

India’s Ridiculous Mumbai Evidence Vs. Pakistan’s Concrete Waziristan Proof

By Makhdoom Babar

The Daily Mail

While the Indian Army has announced that it is ready to open a two-front war against Pakistan and China,t he Army Headquarters at New Delhi forget that the Indian government and its spy agencies like RAW have already imposed a secret war against both Pakistan and China and certain credible proofs of the same have started surfacing both in China and Pakistan but due to certain unknown reasons, both Beijing and Islamabad are not taking up the issue officially with India or the global community, perhaps to maintain a calm in the region.

The investigations of The Daily Mail indicate that there are enough evidences available with China to prove that Indian Intelligence agency RAW had been active behind last year’s unrest in Tibet while the foreign hand behind recent riots in Chinese province Xinjiang is also believed to be that of RAW. Similarly the Pakistan government has been provided a variety of proofs of involvement of Indian government and especially the Indian intelligence agency behind the continuous chaos in various parts of Pakistan, particularly NWFP province’s Malakand division and tribal agencies of North and South Waziristan where Pakistan army is fighting awar against terrorists.

The Pakistan Army and the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) have succeeded in gathering a number of proofs that conclusively show that the Indian government is hectically engaged in sponsoring the terrorists and extremists in various parts of Pakistan and especially those waging a war against Pakistan Army in NWFP province and tribal areas. Pakistani intelligence authorities have also detected that RAW was even involved in Monday’s carnage at Karachi in which, after a suicidal attack on a procession, through a well calculated and pre-planned exercise, a hell of fire was unleashed in the top commercial area of the city which caused huge financial loss, estimated to be over 5 billion rupees in less than a five hours’ time. The Daily Mail’s investigations indicate that the authorities have discovered certain potassium-chlorate based explosives, manufactured by Vaigai Industries, Madurai district of Tamil Nadu state in southern India.

Some weapons, available in the international market to every one were also given by the Indians in farcical dossier to prove the Mumbai attackers were Pakistanis The image of Milk Pak, a dry milk brand of Pakistan given by the Indians in farcical dossier to prove the Mumbai attackers were Pakistanis

A funny proof, given by the Indians in farcical dossier to prove the Mumbai attackers were Pakistanis

The Daily Mail’s investigations reveal that the ISI and Pakistan Army started discovering the proofs of comprehensive Indian involvement when a military operation was launched against terrorists in Balochistan province a few years back. These investigations indicate that the Pakistani law enforcing agencies found highly credible evidence proving that the Indians were not only giving comprehensive financial support to terrorists in Balochistan but were also providing them with huge caches of all sorts of weapons and other military equipment. These investigations indicate that those proofs were given to the federal government in Islamabad. But at that time, then President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf deferred taking up the matter with the Indians as he was focusing on enhancing the peace process with New Delhi. However he is believed to have shown these proofs to the Americans.

According to some credible sources, at one stage President Musharraf showed a photograph to the US ambassador to Pakistan in which the most wanted militant Baitullah Mehsood could be seen coming out of one of the Indian diplomatic Missions in Afghanistan.

The Daily Mail’s findings further indicate that owing to the US pressure to keep increasing friendly ties with India, the Gilani government also preferred to avoid taking up the issue of Indian involvement in Baluchistan with New Delhi.

In the meanwhile, the incident of 26/11 took place which pushed Islamabad on the back foot and the issue of raising the matter with New Delhi was deferred further as New Delhi, after the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, sent a farcical dossier, based on a fabricate confessional statement by a RAW created fake surviving terrorist.

It remains a fact that the said statement of the fake accused was exposed as a RAW fabricated draft by The Daily Mail in its special investigative report. This faulty dossier, based on ridiculous proofs turned out to be more than enough to spin the minds of officials of Interior Ministry and Foreign Office at Islamabad and they, instead of challenging the farcical India dossier and rejecting it completely they rather started acting in accordance with the India dossier that was actually nothing but a double bullshit with cherry on the top.

In the meanwhile, when the government ordered a comprehensive military operation against the extremists and terrorists in parts of NWFP province and the tribal belts of Waziristan agencies, the Pakistani security forces and intelligence authorities were shocked to see that all the ammunition dumps of Taliban militants were full of Indian weapons, arms and explosives. Here again the security forces discovered the weapons manufactured by different units of Indian Ordinance Factories (IOF) and explosives and chemicals made by Vaigai Chemical Industries of India. It is worth mentioning here that there are around 40 arms and ammunition manufacturing units in India that work under IOF while the Vaigai is the 2nd largest Potassium chlorate manufacturing facility of India.

The Daily Mail’s findings indicate that not only this but the Pakistani security forces also seized a large amount of Indian currency and Indian medicines from the deserted or conquered hideouts of militants in different operations in Swat and Waziristan. The Daily Mail has learnt that the Indian medicines were used by militants not only as routine life saves or pain killing drugs but these also include the sex and emotions related medicines and were found in abundance at different hideouts of the militants and at their small secret hospital and medical facilities. In addition, the security forces also seized huge amount of currency bills of Indian currency either from the arrested militants or from the captured hideouts. The investigations reveal that trade in Indian currency in all parts of Afghanistan is quite open and normal and one can buy anything at anywhere with Indian currency in any part of Afghanistan. According to some reports, the Indian currency is more acceptable than the US Dollar in Afghani business markets.

INDIAN GRENADES & THE ‘SPICE BOMB’

The Daily Mail’s findings indicate that the most interesting proof of the Indians sponsoring the militants in Pakistan was the discovery of an India made strange grenade. These grenades that were seized amongst other Indian weapons from militants’ different ammo dumps and hideouts is known as the curry bomb and Indians have used it in Pakistan through militants as a test case.

The Daily Mail’s findings indicate that this a one hundred percent indigenous bomb of the Indian Ordnance factories and the Indians have tested it against the enemy for the first time in Waziristan. The terrorists would use these curry bombs to attack on different camps and posts of security forces to flush the personnel out and then to target them, something that was quite new for Pakistani security forces. According to the British newspaper Daily Mail (UK), “India’s weapons development experts have developed an eye-watering spice bomb, packed with a potent mix of red chilli and pepper which will be used to smoke out militants during counter-insurgency operations. As Britain’s legion of Friday night Vindaloo casualties will testify, too much chilli can be debilitating.

But scientists from India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation have discovered that the spices which make your curry so hot can also bring an enemy to his knees in seconds. Eye-watering: The spice bomb is packed with a potent mix of red chilli and pepper. The mix of spices and phosphorous chokes the enemy’s respiratory tract, leaving targets barely able to breathe for a time,” the newspaper concludes.

The Daily Mail’s findings indicate that though all these concrete proofs have been handed over to the federal government by the security forces and intelligence agencies, yet the government is not feeling like taking up the matter with the Indians or the global community. The Daily Mail is here publishing the comparative images of the evidences given to Pakistan by the Indian government regarding the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and the concrete evidences discovered by Pakistani security forces and given to the government so that a dossier can be sent to New Delhi as well.

WARNING To India: Dont Tempt Us

By: Faisal Awan

With too many Bollywood characters punctuating tiers of Lok Saba it seems like Bollywood action movie theme and mind set has inculcated in the hierarchy of the Indian Army to hilarious limits as well. The precedence of such mindset was exhibited by none other than its Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor, when he claimed “Indian army is ready to battle Pakistan and China at the same time”. This statement was further bolstered by Lt-General A S Lamba that “India within 48 hours of the start of assault can enter Pakistan”. The Indian Think Tanks and Indian Army are missing the cue that thrusting a war on Pakistan and entering Pakistan is by no means a Hindi Bollywood version of Adolf Hitler taking over Austria and Czechoslovakia or a Bollywood Remix version of “The Guns of Navarone”.

Indian government and army needs to understand that their unyielding greed for bloodshed and hegemony will back fire just like it did in September 1965, when General Joyanto Nath Chaudhri confidently and boastfully told his officers that he would like to have his evening drink at Lahore Gymkhana. What history witnessed then in the next 2-3 weeks was none other than a consummate squashing of their army chief’s wishful dream.

The drunken leadership of the Indian Army is trampling the tolerance of Pakistani people and is coquetting with fire. Indian government and its army’s multifaceted exploitation of Pakistan’s desire to peace must not be considered its weakness. The warmongers are forgetting that nothing is too big to cross for the resolute, tenacious and unyielding nation which the world calls The Pakinstanis. But if these buffoons are under the impression that they will enter Pakistan in 48 hours, ironically giving themselves 24 hours more than General Joyanto Nath Chaudhri, then this will be the last mistake they will be making. The fate of General Joyanto Nath Chaudhri and his yes men should not be forgotten. If we can teach a lesson in 1965, then make no mistake about it that we are now a Nuclear Power and our enemies will be hung in the streets of their own country by Pakistani Army Jawans without any concession of their ranks in Indian Army.

The Indian authorities should strive to refrain themselves from such assertions which has historically caused nothing but utter embarrassment and disgrace to its country. The Pakistan army, Pakistani youth and the Pakistani nation has the resilience and audacity to slap a response to any aggression towards ideological and geographical boundaries of its Pak Sarzameen.
